Wombat Warriors

Author(s): Samantha Wheeler

When Mouse's parents are unexpectedly called overseas, Mouse has to stay with her long lost Aunt Evie on a sheep farm in South Australia.

Upon arrival at the ramshackle cottage, Mouse finds strange scratches on the floor and hears loud thumps and thuds coming from her aunt's room. Soon Mouse discovers they're sharing the cottage with a large, hairy creature- a wombat called Miss Pearl!

Aunt Evie is keeping Miss Pearl a secret from her landlord, who believes wombats are vermin and destroys them on sight.

But when the landlord's son, Harry, uncovers their secret, can Mouse convince them that it's better to live with wombats rather than harm them?
